Griffin & Associates has always been involved in enhancing our community. Over the years we have given time, services and/or donations to a number of organizations. Currently, we work with the following groups.
WESST
We have worked on brand identity with WESST, designing their Annual Report and most recently their Sustainability Report. We enjoy working with this organization which has assisted so many local businesses.
New Mexico Jazz Workshop
Joan Griffin has been on the Board of the NMJW for 6 years. The Griffin team has helped the organization by designing their logo, website and ad and of course we all enjoy dancing at Salsa Under the Stars!
Big Brothers Big Sisters
Joan Griffin is on the Board for the NM Big Brothers Big Sisters organization, where she is accountable for the alumni program.
American Heart Association
Joan Griffin has served on the board of the Rio Grande Chapter of the American Heart Association for the past six years. The entire Griffin team gets out to support the organization in its annual Heart Walk.
Breast Cancer Resource Center
Joan Griffin serves on the Board of Directors, the Marketing Committee and the fund-raising committee.
New Mexico Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America
Our Accountant, Ed Waters, is the Treasurer of the New Mexico Chapter of the PRSA. He was awarded Member of the Year in 2011 for his dedication to the Society.
American Advertising Federation—New Mexico
Dezaree Vega-Garcia is currently the Communications Chair of AAF—New Mexico. This organization consists of advertising professionals throughout New Mexico. Dezaree maintains their website, creates news releases and maintains AAF’s Facebook presence.
Pinnacle Worldwide
Pinnacle Worldwide is an international consortium of public relations firms. Joan Griffin currently sits on the Executive Committee for the organization.
Account Executive Dezaree Vega holds one of the Ditch poster contest entries.
Ditch & Water Safety Task Force
One of Griffin’s longest standing clients, this organization is dedicated to educating children in and around the Albuquerque area about the dangers of ditches and arroyos. Annually, Griffin provides pro-bono services to the organization to help maximize their marketing budget in order to reach the most children.
TEDxABQ
This idea driven organization has held several conferences in the Albuquerque area. Featuring dynamic, innovative speakers who connect with attendees about ways to make the world better around them. Griffin & Associates has provided public relations services to spread the word about TedxABQ’s one-of-a-kind conferences.
Women Riding Well
Griffin & Associates sponsors this women’s biking organization and assists with their public relations and marketing outreach.
National Dance Institute
Dea Rankin serves on the corporate committee for this non-profit group aimed at promoting the unique power of the arts to engage children and motivate them toward excellence.
Young Professionals of Albuquerque
Dezaree Vega-Garcia serves on the social committee for this organization. Young Professionals of Albuquerque works to connect like minded individuals through education, social events and civic engagement projects.

David and Barbara produced an audio tour for this Living History Museum some years back. Barbara has been a dedicated volunteer for the last 5 years. She spends most of her time helping kids with crafts and building adobe houses for weekends like “Fiesta de los Niños.”
